Overview
I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2003. Although I was born in Seattle, my parents moved back to Colombia when I was very little. I grew up in Medellin (the city of the Eternal Spring), where I attended medical school and then completed my residency in internal medicine. I moved back to the U.S. in 1998 for my fellowship training in endocrinology at the University of Michigan. For certification purposes, I repeated my residency in internal medicine at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. I am board certified in endocrinology. I was honored to be recognized as a 5280 Magazine Top Doctor in 2020.
My office is located at the Skyline Medical Offices. I like to practice evidence-based medicine. Most of my practice is devoted to thyroid problems and diabetes, but I really enjoy treating patients with pituitary, parathyroid and adrenal problems, metabolic bone diseases, and neuroendocrine tumors. I speak Spanish and English.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids, skiing, running, reading, playing piano, watching soccer, and trying to be a better human being.
