Dr. V. Gabriel Garzo is passionate about helping couples become families. His expertise in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, combined with his warm nature, ensures that each of his patients feels cared for and supported throughout their experience.

Dr. Garzo has been board certified in the subspecialty of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility since 1989. He received his medical degree from the University of Chile, and afterwards served as a resident in General Surgery at the University of Manitoba, Canada. He then completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Toronto General Hospital. He also completed two years of research in ovarian physiology at the prestigious Banting and Best Institute in Toronto and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California – San Diego.

After finishing his fellowship, Dr. Garzo became an Infertility Specialist and the Director of the In Vitro Fertilization Laboratory at Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla. He was an Adjunct Assistant Member of the Research Institute of Scripps Clinic and an Instructor of Microsurgery at the Naval Hospital in San Diego.

In 1991, Dr. Garzo joined the Center for Advanced Reproductive Care in Redondo Beach, and in 1998, together with Dr. David Meldrum, he co-founded Reproductive Partners Fertility Center – San Diego. Since then, Dr. Garzo has led RPSD to become one of the largest fertility centers in San Diego with an outstanding record of success. Dr. Garzo is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of California – San Diego. He is currently on staff at Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla.

Dr. Garzo enjoys singing, playing the guitar, dancing the Argentine Tango, and listening to many different types of music.
